A New Home for AGR
Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity is constructing a brand-new house located on the University of Florida campus on Museum Drive near Fraternity Row. Founded in 1924, Alpha Gamma Rho is a fraternity that caters to those young men with an interest in careers in the agricultural industry. It promotes itself as the world’s largest social-professional fraternity. Now, after years of hard work and fundraising by alumni and active members alike, AGR is breaking ground on its new site in May 2020.
The two-story traditional brick house was designed by Ai Collaborative, Inc. located in Tampa. It will provide 19,000 square feet of living and communal spaces. The house will accommodate 35 active brothers and the House Mother.
Residence and guests will be welcomed through an entry of four grand columns into the foyer and trophy room which are flanked by a formal living and formal dining room area. Adjacent to these areas is a spacious guest room and a large well-appointed House Mother’s Suite.
Passing through the foyer, the ground floor opens up to a large Dining Area/Chapter Room that will seat 150 and is supported by a state-of-the-art commercial-grade kitchen. In addition, brothers and alumni will enjoy a large dedicated game room and lounge area. A spacious back patio nearly doubles the size of the ground floor with additional outdoor living areas. The second floor consists of generous bedrooms suites with bathrooms, two traditional living rooms, a large study room, and a conference room.
